Automated Micro-Screen Mechanical Filtration
At the heart of the Compact-L is a high-grade stainless steel drum equipped with 60-micron sieve screens. As water flows into the chamber via gravity from bottom drains and surface skimmers, fine suspended solids, fish waste, and uneaten food are trapped before they can decay. When debris buildup begins to restrict flow, an intelligent water level sensor automatically triggers high-pressure rinse nozzles to flush the sludge directly out to drain—no manual scrubbing required.
Advanced Moving Bed Biological Treatment
Once mechanical waste is cleared, water moves into the integrated biological chamber packed with 60 litres of Hel-X 13 bio-media. Kept in constant motion via an integrated aeration connection, this high-surface-area media hosts massive colonies of nitrifying bacteria that convert harmful ammonia and nitrites into safe nitrates.
